Stratton Mountain Scout Reservation -   I have a collection of slides from the 1970's showing Troop 53 in action, many of those pictures are of Stratton Mountain Scout Reservation (SMSR).  The camp opened in 1950 and was owned by the Fort Orange Council at that time.  It was later passed down to the Fort Orange - Uncle Sam Council before winding up in the hands of the Governor Clinton Council.  Unfortunately the camp was closed after it's 1979 season.  The area is currently available for recreational use as the Grout Pond Recreation Area, US Forest Service.

Louise Albertine Brooks Collection -   In January of 2010, I was contacted by a distant relative, a decendant of my Great-Great-Grandfather Joseph Albertine, Mr. Peter H. Spectre.  He had in his posession a collection of photographs that belonged to his Mother and Grandmother.  They are a fine collection of photos important to Albertine history from a time shortly after the family came to America from Italy, through the late 1920's or 30's.  Peter has graciously allowed me to share them here.

Bringing old images to light

One of neatest things that I find about digital imagery is that old images can be resurrected, enhanced and shared with others.
